ICAM Information Day and Vendor Expo

PURPOSE AND EXPECTED OUTCOME OF MEETING The ICAM Information Day and Vendor Expo is sponsored by the Identity, Credential and Access Management Sub Committee (ICAMSC). The full day session will be split into three segments. An opening segment followed by a vendor expo to complete the AM session and agenda topics throughout the PM session. The full agenda is below. The on-site vendor expo which will take place in conjunction with ICAM Information Day event in the room adjacent to where agenda topics will be discussed and is intended to focus on the use of PIV and PIV-I credentials in relying party systems such as Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and Logical access technologies. Exhibitors which participate will demonstrate their latest information assurance and security products and services. There will also be emphasis on the use of PIV and PIV-I credentials with mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets in addition to the use of encryption and digital signature products.

MORE ON ICAMSC: The ICAMSC is co-chaired by GSA and DoD and is chartered under the Federal CIO Council's Information Security and Identity Management Committee (ISIMC) and tasked with aligning the Identity Management activities of Federal Executive Branch agencies.

PIV and PIV-I USE IN RELYING PARTY SYSTEMS: The Identity, Credential, and Access Management sub committee (ICAMSC) is working with OMB and all Federal agencies to ensure that individuals accessing Federal networks and facilities have been properly credentialed to do so before any access decision is granted. ICAMSC and OMB is also working with NIST to ensure the standards are developed and understood for the use of PIV credentials in logical access systems with special emphasis on PIV use with mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets.

LOGISTICS/VENUE INFORMATION: The ICAM Information day and Vendor Expo event will be held on the second floor conference rooms of GSA OCS located at 1275 First St. NE, Washington, DC 20002 on 23 February, 2012.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND FROM AGENCIES: The event is intended to have the participation of all Federal agencies of the Executive Branch.Personnel responsible for policy and implementation programs within agencies whose responsibilities include trusted and verifiable identity to gain authorization for employment, access to networks, facilities, applications and/or where cybersecurity is of paramount concern. Please note that this event is not intended to discuss issues surrounding the issuance of PIV credentials but rather the intended use of PIV credentials in a variety of applications. Agencies are encouraged to ascertain their attendance requirements accordingly.
