Public Trust Information
Public key certificate trust is based on Certification Authority (CA) operations in compliance with the Certificate Policy (CP). The CP defines the assurance levels asserted in the certificate. The associated Certification Practice Statement (CPS) documents the operational practices to ensure trusted operations.
Independent compliance audits are the primary mechanism used by the Federal Public Key Infrastructure Policy Authority (FPKIPA) to ensure that Public Key Infrastructure (PKIs) participating in the Federal PKI (FPKI) are operated in conformance with the requirements identified in the appropriate CP.
In addition to the Annual Audit Requirements for all FPKI participating PKIs, this page contains the annual audit information for the general public to use in understanding how the Federal PKI Management Authority provides trusted PKI and CA operations.
