Security Control Overlay of Special Publication 800-53 Revision 5: Security Controls for electronic Physical Access Control Systems (ePACS)

Description: [T]he purpose of this document is to assist those entities responsible for physical and cyber security: 1. Provide minimum applicable IT security controls and related supplemental guidance to appropriately secure and administer ePACS 2. Establish a relationship between IT system security controls and ePACS operational configurations using a standardized risk-based approach 3. Develop an initial foundation for an ePACS operational assessment by providing supplemental guidance for the implementation of authentication mechanisms in ePACS as defined in NIST [SP 800-116] 4. Define initial responsibilities for implementation and use of this overlay
